Liam has extensive experience representing clients in complex commercial real estate transactions including leasing, financing, acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, syndications, and operations. Liam regularly advises developers and property owners in the purchase, sale, and development of commercial real estate, including retail shopping centers, office buildings, multifamily and mixed-use projects, and hotel and hospitality transactions. He represents commercial landlords and tenants in the preparation, negotiation, and workout of office and retail leases. In addition, Liam’s practice includes representing clients on the formation and structuring of joint ventures and syndications, including advising on choice of entity and jurisdiction, developing offering terms, and preparing disclosure and investment documents.

Yvonne Love has extensive experience representing clients in the acquisition and sale of commercial properties. She regularly advises clients on the legal matters of their commercial real estate deals, including acquisition, development, drafting and negotiating contracts, leasing, and dispositions.

Ms. Love’s experience extends to matters arising out of the purchase and sale of businesses, partnership and corporate dissolution actions, commercial lease disputes, and cases involving employment agreements and enforcement of non-compete clauses.

Armond represents clients in a variety of transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, shareholder agreements, employment agreements, corporate governance, finance, succession planning, and complex commercial real estate purchase and lease agreements. He has represented both sellers and buyers in varied business mergers and acquisitions and commercial real estate transactions. Armond has extensive experience drafting and negotiating contracts.

Ashley Wedding has represented clients in both transactional real estate matters and real-estate litigation. Ms. Wedding has represented clients in the purchase and sales of vacant land, assemblages, purchase and sale of office buildings, leases of office and retail space and the purchase and sale of a variety of different types of real property. She evaluates title reports and provides guidance and counsel to buyers and sellers on a variety of title issues including easements, restrictive covenants, and assists clients with removing clouds on title.

Angel Shah is a corporate and transactional attorney with extensive experience advising clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, entity formation, contract negotiations, labor and employment, regulatory compliance, and real estate matters. Angel has represented a diverse range of clients, including multinational corporations, private equity firms, startups, limited liability companies, partnerships, and individuals. Angel provides pragmatic and business-minded representation to his clients, making sure that his client’s interests are adequately protected, while also ensuring that transactions close in a timely and efficient manner.

Prior to joining Cohen Property Law Firm, Angel worked at renowned boutique law firm advising sophisticated clients on M&A, general corporate, and real estate matters. Angel also worked at an international law firm advising public companies, multinational corporations, institutional investors, and private equity firms in connection with transactional and M&A matters. Prior to law school, Angel worked in the healthcare industry.

Mary Petroni has extensive experience in client relations and works closely with our lawyers to ensure a consistent focus on personalized client services. She assists our attorneys and clients through the due diligence process to accelerate closing. Mary also manages marketing and communication initiatives for the firm and is responsible for reviewing, maintaining, and delivering communications generated by Cohen Property Law Group, PLLC through the appropriate channels.

Paralegal

Vanessa is a certified paralegal and provides strategic support to CPLG’s attorneys in a wide range of commercial real estate matters, including facilitating closings for the acquisition and disposition of property, loan transactions, and leases; reviewing term sheets and letters of intent, due diligence materials, title commitments and title-related documents, and surveys; preparing closing binders and checklists for the acquisition and disposition of property, loans, and leases. Additionally, Vanessa assists CPLG’s attorneys in preparing governing documents for joint ventures and other investment or ownership vehicles.Prior to joining CPLG, Vanessa worked as a paralegal for a law firm based in South Florida where she assisted attorneys in complex commercial transactions and litigation.

Elisa Toyos-Sitjes is a J.D. candidate at the University of Miami School of Law. Elisa earned her Master of Business Administration from Florida International University prior to beginning law school and has experience in business operations and contract management. Her academic and professional interests include transactional work in business and real estate law. Prior to joining Cohen Property Law Group, Elisa interned at Veliz & Associates, P.A., a Coral Gables law firm specializing in trusts and estates, and volunteered with the Charlotte County and Lee County Legal Aid Help Centers, assisting self-represented litigants through virtual legal aid clinics.

Cameron Kim is a JD candidate at Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law. Cameron has experience in civil litigation, case file management, and legal research. Prior to joining Cohen Property Law Group, Cameron worked as a Legal Assistant at Berger Kahn, where he supported attorneys in employment defense and insurance coverage matters. Cameron also has a background in sports business and consulting, having worked with the Las Vegas Aces, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Boston Red Sox on projects involving sponsorship strategy, fan engagement, revenue growth, and brand visibility. His professional interests include contract drafting and corporate law.
